2026 South Central Texas Flood Relief: Emergency Transport & Rescue Fund
Devastating flooding has hit our neighbors in Uvalde, Hondo, and the Comfort area, and rescue teams, volunteers, and shelters across the region are working tirelessly to save displaced animals.
At Footbridge Foundation, our role in this massive community effort is creating open space. We are working around the clock to prep dozens of our current dogs and cats for early-morning emergency transport flights to northern partner shelters. By safely moving these animals north, we can immediately open up critical kennel space to take in the expected influx of displaced pets as local rescue teams gain access to flooded areas.
Why we need your help right now:
Sending an entire roster of animals north means we are sending our current supplies out the door with them so they are fully equipped for their journey. With an influx of new rescues arriving tomorrow, our resources are being stretched to the absolute limit. New animals will need vetting and possibly extra medical care for injuries or illnesses.
Your support keeps everything moving without delay:
Monetary Gifts: Directly fund the immense cost of emergency transport flights, incoming veterinary care, and the daily operations needed to handle this influx.
Supply Donations: Restock our shelves and provide critical resources that we will also be distributing back out to communities and partners in the hardest-hit areas.
It takes a village to handle a crisis of this scale. Thank you for helping Footbridge Foundation stay prepared and ready to take the next wave of animals in need.
