Oscar was found in a dumpster suffering from shock and parasites.
2023 has been a year in which we have seen an extraordinary growth for Footbridge Foundation. Along with moving to a newly expanded medical space and kicking off our own spay-neuter program, the number of animals who require saving and those with extra medical needs remained sky high; George, Tater, Milan, Delie, Tony, Crash, Finn, and many more touched our hearts throughout this year.
The difficult situations we see weekly such as bottle babies, cats with FIV or Leukemia, dogs with heart worm disease, enucleations needed, entropion surgery needed and ringworm cases; all of whose lives would not be saved without our amazing fosters and then lead to AMAZING adoptions. We work hard to help so many and need and we continue to have hope that one day, this need will let up somewhat.
Tater was pulled from a local shelter having sustained injuries which has required an enucleation of one eye, and continued monitoring for nerve damage in the neck. This sweet boy continues to amaze us with his positive demeanor.
Milan is currently undergoing months-long treatment for Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), a viral disease of cats caused by certain strains of a virus called the feline coronavirus.
Our 2023 goal of intaking 450 animals for adoption is close to being met and we even rescued 2 snakes! Since March, we will have completed over 350 spay, neuter and other surgeries this year in our own surgery clinic! We will grow even more in 2024, with continued city-wide impact. We can't do what we do without you, please donate today!
For the animals,
